Club Rules

Generators

We would like to politely remind everyone camping overnight at our events that all generators must be turned off by 11pm. Anyone ignoring this rule will be told to leave the meeting. Please remember we are primarily a schoolboy motocross club and young riders do need their sleep and the noise off the generators carried to outlying properties surrounding our events. Tracks are hard enough to get without losing them to un-necessary noise.

Yellow Flags

We recently have had riders ignoring yellow flags. When riding within a yellow flag section you must ride with caution and never overtake to gain a race position.

Cutting the Track

When racing, if you have to leave the track through the safety tape you must re-enter at the next available safe place – do not cut corners or sections as this is deemed as cheating. Marshals are obliged to report any instances they see to the Clerk of the Course and the rider will be subjected to losing their race points.

Riding Within the Pits

You must not ride your bike in the pits or parking area’s. Anyone breaking this rule will immediately have 10 points taken off their results. Caught again and you will be sent home.

Marshalling Duties

As many of you are aware, marshalling duties are a critical part of our sport. We will no longer accept any Schoolboy rider that does not provide either a Marshal / Startcrew Member or Lapscorer for either a morning or afternoon session. Remember – 1 rider – 1 marshal (although we try to help whenever possible with families).

All AMX and Open Class riders that cannot provide a marshal etc will be charged an extra £10.00 per race day. Anyone leaving the meeting early that is due to marshal MUST please inform the Chief Marshal Officer before they leave the venue. It is not fair to expect others to carry out your duties. Anyone having genuine problems MUST speak to the Chairman of the Club.

Race Order

The race order is always available on the Notice Board by the Signing On Van prior to the meeting starting. It is up to all riders to watch for their group going to the Start Line and not up to the Club to keep calling them on the tanoy system. If you miss your race, do not moan at the club. Any changes to the racing order will be announced.

Children

All children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and not the responsibility of the club. Please keep all children in the paddock area at all times.

Any children or adults caught in any farm building or on any property other than in the paddock will be told to leave the venue.

The track should be walked by all riders prior to practice.

Push Bikes

Push Bikes are not permitted on to the Race Track at any time as we find they are destroying the track before the racing.

Any one not adhering to these Rules will be told to leave the meeting.
